In Warhammer Underworlds, each player builds their Warband and pits them against their rivals in battles. Victory is measured in Glory, for only the player whose warriors have achieved the most objectives and vanquished the most foes will be crowned champion. A single box set offers 2 players the chance to battle for control, adding a second core set allows for an additional 2 players to join in the desperate struggle. Multi-player games open up opportunities for makeshift allegiances to be forged (and broken) for deception, just as domination, is a key part of any war.
The Stormcast Eternals, also sometimes called simply Stormcast, are superhuman, nigh-immortal warriors whose souls have been magically Reforged by the will of the God-King Sigmar. They now serve as the primary weapons of the Grand Alliance of Order in retaking the Mortal Realms from the forces of Chaos.
Stormcast Eternals are not born, but made, forged from mortal souls of great honor and courage, alloyed with the celestial energies of the Cosmic Storm, and beaten into the living weapons of Azyr, the Realm of Heavens, upon the Anvil of Apotheosis.
All Stormcast Eternals were once paragons of humanity. Many were warriors or wizards, but not all, for the skills of war can be taught, while honour, courage, or simple faith cannot.
The stalwart Stormcast Eternals battle it out with the scheming Skven in small skirmish battles of Warhammer: Underworlds. This edition introduces revised rules, warbands, and Rival Decks, which are designed around four playstyles. Two warbands are introduced in this set: The Emberwatch are the specialist Stormcast that hit hard, and the Zikkit's Tunnelpack of the Skaven.
