Guardsmen from Trench Korps are extremely loyal to the Imperium. Although they aren't genetically modified intergalactic warriors, there is a good chance that there is no one more obedient to the will of the Emperor and no one more ready to fight until the last breath than the Trench Korps themselves. And it says a lot, as breathing is precious for those Guardsmen who originate from a toxic world devastated by the use of radioactive weaponry. All these things - both the unnatural loyalty of Trench Korps connected with their complete disregard for their own lives and the devastation of their home planet - are the grim reminder of disgusting treachery performed long ago by the ancestors of these Guardsmen.
