They represent Kogen's massive army of the Yomi inhabitants as they attempt to take over both the mortal world and the spiritual worlds to wipe out the descendants of those who sided with Sujin. Regardless of the clan and beliefs a corpse held in life, all dead bodies where a Kuroi-te army marches rise and join them.
