Gun wagons are usually armed with conventional rapid fire cannons mounted for the anti-air role which offer reasonable rate of fire, acceptable range and excellent reliability. Such weapons are plentiful to most Resistance groups as there are usually more surplus military weapons than people to operate them. 

The distinctly average performance of the gun wagon’s armament is balanced against the experience and skill of the operator. Practically every Resistance soldier can be considered a veteran in any case and only those with experience in regular technicals get to step up to crew these larger contraptions.
