The Old World is a tactical tabletop game where players use strategy and units of various armies in clashes on a large scale where precise movement and positioning can result in victory or defeat.

A Dwarf throng is a fearsome sight to behold, their ranks gleaming with shields and banners proclaiming clan, guild, and God. These stout-hearted infantrymen, clad in steel, are supported by massive engines of war unmatched in their destructive power. While Dwarfs shun magic, they are masters of runes, binding eldritch forces into weapons and armour of extraordinary potency. With grim determination, they enter battle, seeking only victory or death.

Constantly on a hunt for a worthy foe to defeat, the Dwarf Slayers of Legend are some of the most prideful individuals found within Dwarfen society. Unable to cope with failure or tragedy, some Dwarfs take the binding vows of the Slayer Cult, forsaking their home and kin in a self-imposed exile. Taking nothing but their axe into the wilderness, they seek nothing but the worthiest foes to slay or die in battle, those who survive their ordeals are considered legendary figures among their kin.
