Centuries before the events of the End Times large scale battles were waged. Forces of good and evil collided as they battled for surpremacy: armoured knights on warhorses charged the frontlines against those weaving powerful sorceries.

The Old World is a tactical tabletop game where players use strategy and units of various armies in clashes on a large scale where precise movement and positioning can result in victory or defeat.

A Dwarf throng is a fearsome sight to behold, their ranks gleaming with shields and banners proclaiming clan, guild, and God. These stout-hearted infantrymen, clad in steel, are supported by massive engines of war unmatched in their destructive power. While Dwarfs shun magic, they are masters of runes, binding eldritch forces into weapons and armour of extraordinary potency. With grim determination, they enter battle, seeking only victory or death.

Dwarfen Holds are home to many a dwarf, including those who are specialised in destroying bedrock and finding gold. Digging multiple shafts into the earth requires the miners to be proficient with their pickaxes and the strength to match. When Dawrfs march forth to war, miners are seen battling the enemy with the same tools they use in their day-to-day lives, as they see this as a point of pride.
